IRVINGTON – Harvest International Ministries continues to serve its congregation and community even after the ban on large gatherings.

They do this not by breaking any laws or violating any executive orders, but by transitioning all services and programs to virtual interaction and live-streaming.

Gov Murphy ordered that all gatherings are banned on March 21 at 9:00PM.

Apostle Alvin D Bynum, Senior Pastor – Harvest International

Apostle A.D. Bynum shares what his ministries have done to help their local communities.

When news of the coronavirus first touching down in New Jersey was made public, Bynum and his team immediately shared information on proper sanitation with the congregation.

Harvest International began a church share program in which members of the congregation brought in essential items, such as water, cleaning items and can goods to support congregants and local community.

The church also participated in the pick-up and distribution of cooked food and bagged groceries to families in need within the Essex county area.

Apostle Bynum streams multiple times throughout the week with prayer, words of encouragement and bible study to continue ministering to the church community. Bible lessons are now shared via email and social media. The lessons are designed to fit individual learning and group study.

Pastoral counseling is given through online/video call to individuals and families in need.

Information pertaining local resources are shared through the churches text blast. emails and social media accounts to keep the community informed of help within their reach.
