ANDOVER – Andover Subacute & Rehab Center will see National Guard this week on campus.

In Thursday’s press conference, Governor Murphy advised that 120 members of the National Guard would be deployed to long term care facilities across the state.

Department of Health commissioner, Judith M. Persichilli, advised the National Guard would assist in custodial, meals, logistics and more. Andover Subacute & Rehab will see 20 soldiers on Friday.

“The development came the same day federal health authorities fined the facility $220,000.”

Last month, the the facility made national news after 17 bodies were found after an anonymous tip was given to local police.

In Trenton, a large protest with many participants from the prior protest, crowded the statehouse lawn with demands to allow small businesses to reopen. Here is video provided by one of the participants.
