TRENTON – Protestors advocating for the Bill of Rights were threatened with arrest by New Jersey State Police.
The group elected a nearby shopping center parking lot to organize and later head to Trenton. Participators tell #EyesOnNJ when they arrived at the shopping center, they were met with Police.
A New Jersey State Police helicopter was observed hovering over West State St overlooking the protestors. Participants tell us the helicopter followed the caravan on their journey from the parking lot to the city of Trenton.
Participants shared with #EyesOnNJ that they were advised by New Jersey State Police, if they exited their vehicles, they would be placed under arrest.
For the duration of the protest, #EyesOnNJ News did not observe any protestors detained or placed under arrest.
The event was organized by New Jersey for Medical Freedom, a grass-roots organization, which has over 3,000 members. A facebook event for today’s protest was automatically cancelled by the social media giant.
When #EyesOnNJ News arrived at the event, the sound of automotive horns, loudspeakers and sirens filled the street outside the state capitol.
One of the organization participants, Kim Pagan, was charged “with violating the emergency orders for organizing the event in Trenton”
